Where two language-worlds meet, agree, and leave gaps
Each card pairs a Chinese 成语 (four-character idiom) with its closest English cultural counterpart. Some proverbs are near-identical — the same wisdom traveled both roads. Some converge on the same lesson but through different images. And some diverge: the two cultures look at the same situation and see different things entirely. The gap is the interesting part.
